Project Silvia: Some Solid Progress and a Public Apology

The apology first:

To Stewart and Marcus at 3P Automotive, I wholeheartedly and unreservedly apologise for buying such a terrible fitting bodykit.

That out of the way, look what they’ve done with it…

Lines had to be built in to the corners of the front bumper to match the guards, and  the edges have been rebuilt and squared to give better than factory panel gaps. Impressive.

Sexy.

The skirts were the worst.  You can see here the amount of work that was needed. The end was extended a few mm to allow it to actually go on, and the plates that go up either side of the door were sliced in half and re-glassed to get the required curve in them. They were completely straight!

Perfect fit. Eventually.

The rear bumper was quite good by comparison. The top was sunken though, so a bar was riveted in across the full width to hold it up.

Don’t go anywhere. I’m starting to feel like this is going to be good.
