OK, I’ve had a love/hate relationship with the poor old Z32 over the years. It is a design, though, that seems to be aging remarkably well. The lines look better now than they did 5 years ago and they are, especially in 2-seat form, a very nice looking car once you lower them and sort out the wheel fitment. The cons are obvious and will always be a problem – they’re far too heavy, too complicated and too unreliable – but they’re no heavier than the big Toyotas that everyone loves these days.
One area that they’ve never been overly popular in is drifting. Basically those cons – the weight and unreliability – are exactly what you don’t want for drifting. A visit to Noriyaro today though sent me looking for more Z32 drifters after looking at pics of Satoru Koyama’s D1 car. I think this red car is his before it was painted yellow. I think it looks stunning!
Here’s a couple of bonus Zeds. If I find any more I’ll be sure to post them up because they are very cool!
Would you like a photo of my zed to add? 🙂 It wasn’t a drifter, but it looked hot!
Only if you have one with the spacers fitted and the original ride height.
