About Garage Dusty

Firstly, this isn’t very serious. If you were to take the whole Garage Dusty thing seriously, I’d come across as a complete idiot.

OK, we got that out of the way.

I am an import nut. At last count I’ve owned 5 imports (2 Silvias, a Celsior, an FTO and a Galant). The only Australian delivered cars I’ve owned are a ’75 Galant and an ’86 Mazda 626 turbo (worst car ever). All the work I do on my cars is done in my dirt floored shed. Hence the name Garage Dusty. As mentioned before, this is all fairly tongue in cheek. As far as I’m concerned, cars are meant to be fun. If you start getting too serious about them the fun goes away. My cars are always built with this mentality.

I am currently the owner of a 1991 Nissan Silvia (my pride and joy, which will end up being the car I have always wanted to have once the build is through), a 1997 Mitsubishi Galant VR4, and a 1975 Mitsubishi Galant. You’ll see various posts about these cars on here as I work on them. I’ll also cover events that I attend as well as occasionally covering some friends’ cars. There are always a few interesting things lurking in sheds.

You’ll also see random bits of my boring life, and lots of music. Nothing particularly profound is likely to happen here, but hopefully I can provide an entertaining diversion. Enjoy your stay.
