I’m hoping to have some or all of these designs with me at the Winton Matsuri. Come say hi & spread the word in sticker form!

The top one is a printed design, the other 2 are intended to be cut out vinyl. I’ll keep you posted with how I go getting them made up.

I was going through ae86drivingclub.com.au looking for a rollcage when I accidentally bought these:

They’re HKS 264° cams with 8.1mm lift on the intake and 8.35mm lift on the exhaust. With 8.35mm being apparently as big as you can go on the 16v 4AGE without changing springs etc, these should be reasonably aggressive for drop-in cams.

Like I said, the purchase was a bit of an accident. I was planning to do cams, but a little bit further down the track. Looks like the plans have come forward now!

The genuine article…

With these in and a few other sneaky bits too (coming soon) I am hoping that the car should really wake up. I want to do tarmac events this year, so figured with a bit more power to play with the car should be a bit more fun to drive in hillclimbs, at Winton etc. As soon as my other parts arrive I’ll set about getting these in and dialed. Can’t wait to get cracking on it!

I honestly have no idea how much power to expect, but I know it’ll be more than I have now!

First step in my plan for world domination…

I have just purchased the garagedusty.com domain! Now you can save your finger muscles by only typing 15 characters to come here rather than the horribly outdated 24 characters of old.

Stay tuned for stickers with the new address!

As soon as I saw these I knew I wanted one! Today it arrived.

It’s a limited edition steering wheel made by Grip Royal for Still Hood. Black painted cherry wood with brushed aluminium spokes and a lacquered Still Hood logo. It is a beautiful thing – my photography skills don’t do it justice. The black/red(ish) colour combination should work perfectly with the red Bride interior in the Silvia. The stickers that were thrown in by Grip Royal are pretty cool too hey?

Still Hood/S3 Magazine is run by a few import nuts from Atlanta GA who seem to be just like the rest of us – guys who love messing about with cars. They have a little online store with brilliant prices on stickers and shirts and stuff, teamed up with awesome customer service. Check them out if you get a chance. As you can see I’ve hit it up a bit… While you’re at it, check out Grip Royal too. Also seem to be great guys. And no, this isn’t an ad – I just like promoting good people in the scene when I find them.

The wheel is #4 of 200 ever to be produced. I think it is fair to say that right now this is probably the only one in Australia!

Not car related, but music is as important to me as cars and I love doing this each year so here it is. Normally I do a top 10 but 2011 was such an amazing year for music that the list has doubled in size. Click through for the reviews.
